Dog Safe Massage Oil
An all-natural product safe for dogs. Due to it’s mildness and safety, it can be used 3-4 times per day if required. It has proven to be relaxing to my dogs. Ingredients
Calendula and Chamomile infused healing oils in cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, Carrot extract, Hypericum healing oil, Vitamin E, Jojoba oil, Neem oil, Essential oils of Neem, Carrot seed, Bergamot, Chamomile and Lavender.
Calendula oil (Calendula Officinalis) – Calendula is an excellent anti-inflammatory and antiseptic making it beneficial to sore, inflamed itchy skin conditions. It promotes healing, increases collagen production and cell regeneration. The antiseptic properties of calendula make this oil a top choice for every first aid kit. Use this herb to prevent infection from bug bites, scratches and minor cuts and burns. Commonly used for acne, eczema, psoriasis, rash, dry chapped skin and other irritations. It is a wonderful oil to have on hand at all times.
Chamomile oil (Chamaemelum nobile) The therapeutic properties of Roman chamomile oil are stated to be analgesic, anti-spasmodic, antiseptic, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, anti-depressant, anti-neuralgic, bactericidal, carminative, sedative and nervine. Calms acne, eczema, rashes, wounds, dermatitis, dry and itchy skin and other allergic conditions in general. Chamomile is an anti-inflammatory herb and thus works well as a soother for a variety of skin irritations, including hemorrhoids, eczema, psoriasis, cuts, bruises, sunburn and blisters. Chamomile is also proven to calm the nerves, relax the mind and body and promote sleep. Considered safe and beneficial for children and dogs.
Carrot Oil respected aromatherapy references suggest that it is useful for the treatment of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, wrinkles, and that it aids dry skin and revitalises the basal layer. There is also evidence that it assists circulation and aids muscular tension. It has been suggested that it might be useful for the treatment of hypertension and neurasthenia. Good for dry, flaky, sensitive skin which is prone to infection. Can rejuvenate and stimulate tissue regeneration, thus effective for scar healing.
Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s Wort) is a medicinal plant valued for its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and mood-regulating properties. More commonly called St. John’s wort may help symptoms of depression, mood, skin inflammation. Commonly used for eczema, wounds, hemorrhoids and minor burns.
Neem oil is antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic, and Mite parasitic. Because of these properties, it is widely used in many different toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, hair care products, and skin care products. The oil has moisturizing and regenerative properties, contains Vitamin E, and has essential fatty acids. It is also used to deter mosquitoes, fleas, flies, ticks, mites, and lice. It promotes a strong immune system, healthy skin, a shiny, problem free coat, all the signs of a radiantly healthy dog.
Jojoba oil contains myristic acid which also has anti-inflammatory actions and since it has a similar in composition to that of the skin’s own oils, it is quickly absorbed and is excellent for dry skin as well as inflamed conditions.
Vitamin E Oil This is a very effective antioxidant for skin, but especially for eczema. It aids in healing and can help prevent scarring. Soothing and nourishing and antiseptic. Also protects the oils within the balm from rancidity. It is natural Vitamin E.
Lavender oil is a natural antiseptic and cleanser that also increases circulation to the skin’s surface which aids in healing. Calming, stress relieving and sedating. Very safe and gentle, antibacterial, anti-itch, nerve-calming. Good for many common animal ailments, e.g., skin irritations, first aid. A “must-have” oil for your dog!
Bergamot Antifungal, soothing. Excellent for ear infections caused by yeast or bacterial overgrowth. Used for all infected skin conditions, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, aids in the healing of wounds and scars. Astringent, good for oily skin. Used for acne, eczema, spots, cold sores (and other herpes infections), boils, wounds and seborrhea of the skin and scalp. Emotions/Mind uplifting, refreshing and encouraging. it can help relieve anxiety and depression. I love this oil with lavender.
